The speed at which the
cursor of a mouse moves is called
Mouse sensitivity. With high mouse sensitivity, the
mouse pointer moves faster on the computer screen and with low sensitivity, the mouse pointer moves slowly on the computer screen. We can have better control on mouse pointer movement when the mouse sensitivity is less.
To alter the mouse sensitivity in your windows machine, follow the below steps:
1. Go to Start -> Control Panel
2. Double click on mouse Icon (in Windows XP, 2000, 98, 95 etc). In case of Vista, click on Hardware and Sound -> Mouse
3. Mouse Properties window will open.
4. Click on the tab Pointer Options
5. Click on the pointer in Motion box and drag it to left or right depending your requirement. Dragging it left will decrease the mouse sensitivity and dragging it right will act reversely.
6. Now Press Apply and OK.
