Steps to Block Kontera Ads in IE...
1. Go to Tools > Options (Or Internet Options in IE 8) > Security > Restricted sites >
2. Add http//*.kontera.com/ to the restricted sites, and you won't have the annoying popups from this sites anymore.
If you want to block ads from other sources, find out the website the ad belongs to and follow above steps to block that website.
Excellent suggestion. Works great. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI followed your directions above to block ( not delete ) Kontera and it works for a short time and then something erases it from my "Restricted Sites"... I need a better solution.

Kontera has found a way to erase the "http//*.kontera.com/" from where I typed in my security settings as you outlined above. How can they get away with that..?! What can I do about that...???

Hay... How is Kontera able to override my "Blocked Sites" capabilities here... Isn't that a travesty. If they can do it then anybody can. Where is Microsoft and Symantic on this...???

ReplyDeleteKontera is not deleting your restricted sites. You have spyware/viruses on your computer that are doing that. You need to get your system clean, then that will stop happening.
Try: Hijack This, Spybot, any reliable anti-virus software, and if all else fails, try ComboFix for a badly infected system.
Good luck.
