We can categorize the verbs in English language into two categories based on the way they change their form to Past and past participle form.
1. Regular verbs in English language are the verbs which adds "d" or "ed" to change the form to Past or Past participle form.
Example:
Base Verb Past Past Participle
Play Played Played
Call Called Called
Face Faced Faced
2. Irregular verbs do not follow this pattern while changing form to Past or Past participle form.
